  Много прекрасных картин выдающихся художников, а также мебели и различной утвари прошлых веков. Больше всего поразил зал со скульптурами, они непередаваемо красивые. Главный минус музея - неправильное освещение. Солнечные лучи непосредственно попадают на картины(!), и соответственно изображение отсвечивает, что не дает его полностью разглядеть

  Disorganised, unkempt, and poor enforcement of rules. There appears to be scant effort at curation, with Uzbek artists and Renaissance works interspersed on the upper floors. Too much sunlight floods some rooms containing oil paintings. Gallery sitters also did not pay attention to teenager schoolkids touching paintings with their fingers!! A great injustice to Uzbekistan's arts development.

  I was pleasantly surprised to see such a impressive and massive collection, and didn't get time to complete the fine arts galleries on the top floors. The first few are devoted to ceramics and tapestries. As an aside, some of the photos on Google of the exterior are actually of the State Museum of History. This one stands out less.
