::Beautiful hotel, nice terrace on the top and very nice rooms. The reception of the hotel sent a guy to pick us up from the train station, very kind of them, as well they organised on the day that we were leaving the hotel a transfer to the airport really early in the morning, that they even paid the taxi driver to take us there. They were very good and always ready to help, they even helped us arranging a rental car in Tashkent for the following day.

::What I am really curious about is who wrote all these reviews which made me book a room in this hotel. People, you called this hotel fantastic?!! Maybe, compared to other hotels in Samarkand, it is a fine hotel, but generally speaking, it's nowhere near a 4 star hotel is claims to be. It might because of the ventilation that they have this food-leftover smell in rooms, which was killing me. I couldn't have stayed for the second night and escaped to Tashkent. I mean, you pay 170 dollars for a truly luxurious stay in a brand new Hyatt or 100 for a very questionable bed (I think it was mastered by some local workers for like 20 bucks, no kidding ) with some funny bedding in a smelly room. People at the reception are nice though. Yes, it was clean, but basic.
