::Bibi Hanum fashion gallery is run by the extraordinary Muhayo Aliyeva, former cultural affairs assistant at the US Embassy in Tashkent. She sources unique traditional ikat fabrics of cotton and silk, hand woven in the Fergana Valley of Uzbekistan, many skillfully hand embroidered by local artisans. Her talented team of seamstresses work together in an ideal setting within the gallery, each a specialist in her own right. Products range from dresses, pants and jackets to coats, scarves and hats. A line of precious children’s clothing and a large selection of hand embroidered tote bags, and home accessories (pillows, spreads, place mats, throws, etc.) complete the collection. Clothing can be made to order on very short notice as well. I have been a client here since their inception in 2009 and recommend them without reservation.
