::This was my comment a while ago: Friendly staff, good housekeeping, well looked after hotel. I have downgraded now, as obviously the housekeeping cannot cope with the race t high occupation of the hotel. Appears that the change in economy is attracting a big number of business and tourist travellers. Whereas the housekeeping misses to clean corridors, repairing telephone sets etc. Pity.

::Update: got upgraded to a suite on 2nd visit. Brilliant stuff!π What a world of difference from the normal rooms. Classic design but not fuddy duddy if you know what I mean. Everything looks much newer. (Room picts are for the suite) Previous review: A classic European style hotel that would bring back you back to nostalgic 60s! (Hotel was built in the 50s). Despite the upgrading in recent years, the deco remains quite dated and could do with some spruce up (especially the rooms). Still the guest rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable with the standard amenities like in-room kettle for making hot beverages. The court yard and garden is pretty nice for a stroll and perhaps end up by the pool area for cocktails. The hotel has 2 restaurants. Try the grill on level 6, wonderful al fresco ambience over look the opera house and park. With the cool evening weather now, its a great place to chill and grab a dinner of delicious shashliks. PS: breakfast spreads is good. WiFi network is not so good. Keeps dropping.

::It was between 3 and 4 stars. On one hand, the hotel is well located in the City center, quite good breakfast, wifi, big lobby and comfortable bed. On the other, rooms are tired, corridor noise lives in your room, facilities are not working properely. Finally, $190 per night. There is no value for the money. To my opinion - 3 stars.

::Excellent place to stay perfect rooms and awesome breakfast. Few minutes away from all the monuments. Tour can be taken by walk as well
