::it is so awesome there.
Rishabh Sheth
::Spectacular madrassa built by timur for his first wife who did not have any child and hence to commemorate her name in history built this temple.
Lachlan Fotheringham
::This previously ruined monument of Tamerlane's reign has a fascinating history - would recommend getting a guide for minimal extra som. Most of the mosque has been beautifully restored and despite the impressive domes and fascade all being visible from the outside, it's well worth paying to get in, even if only to support the reconstruction.
Alvydas V.
::Is one of the most important monuments of Samarkand. In the 15th century it was one of the largest and most magnificent mosques in the Islamic world. By the mid-20th century only a grandiose ruin of it still survived, but now major parts of the mosque have been restored
Cam Graves
::Spectacular buildings and courtyard. This must have been a truly magnificent place in it's heyday. The old mosque is boarded off as it is in a sad state with lots of cracks unfortunately. The entrance to this is awesome and very high and elaborately decorated. I liked the quirky statue of the Koran holder and the ladies crawling underneath it in the belief that it helps with lots of problems.
