  Pretty empty museum. Same history as you may see in every same museum in Uzbekistan. Fresco as main attraction are in pretty bad condition (not like at Minos temple, par example). And quality of this painting far from astonishing. Curious skulls i find, but zero explaining about them

  Informative video in English explaining the wall paintings which are still in the place they were found. This museum is crucial for understanding Samarqand in the pre-Islamic Sogdian era. Staff were friendly too

  Stopped here because I wanted to know something more about Samarkand's history. Utterly disappointed: there are really few description accompanying the exhibition and almost none of them os in English. When I left the museum, I knew as much of Samarkand's history, as when I walked in.

  Impressive site to whom has an interest in ancient history of central asia.
